I have discovered that to make money today on your art you have to do mass advertising and networking. EBay doesn't work and neither does small auction sites you have to hit every blanket edge of the WWW world its the Dot Com times and we def. must now learn as artists either starting off or long time in the business. Its a jungle!


It def, isnt easy you have to stay up late and invest true time reposting and posting info that will actually hit millions rather then that one person wanting a painting of a rainbow and a cross in the same painting. The times are hard, i started selling my art 6 months ago and now realize ive learned enough now to spread the key around. The key is patience and also, long hour and hard work. This job is full of adventure and surpise. I am learning how if you are a extra passionate person it doesnt matter these days you must be a dilligent person to make any money from home as an artist. google google google i actually have a note pad in my bathroom where i write all my (to search research next) and i truely do explote myself everywhere. You must be known to be listen too, my talent is unique as i do offer a lot of varitey in my craft but it truely comes down to if you can get the ball rolling then you get recognized. As an artist you might want to decide if your willing to spend any money adverstizing and yes you will need a fed ex account as soon as you choose a website to sell with but fed ex was better then all the other shipping companys i send alot of paintings either via usps or by fedex. it depends on your weight and your size.


Depression.. also is common, be prepared this is a hard business and even harder if your on your own, just make sure you have lots of friends around to support your ego selling your original art is though, and alot of the time it can make you weak and tired and loose faith but its all about the craft, in the end you will find yourself and that what really matters, patience and a good shipping account after you have registered eeeevvvveeeerrryyywhere on the giant WORLD WIDE WEB! :) Hope that give a quick look into what artists today in this economy are dealing with
