I was always imagining about a 2G Mobile Phone that should have all the features to support 3G networks. Not only this, my dream was to find a handset with all the latest features, virtually control this Hi-tech world through my fingers. Suddenly one day, I heard its name “Samsung Omnia II 18000” and bought it from the shopping mall.

I bought this marvellous look "Samsung Omnia II 18000" Mobile phone paying the price of 2G but using it as 3G. Full credit goes to one of my tech savvy friend, who is an electronic gadget expert. I went to the store and bought it at a glance. After that all of my experiences with this Samsung Omnia II 18000 handset, are just memorable history, converted into realities. So I took decision to share it in World Wide Web.

Screen and Look:

The Samsung Omnia II 1800 phone is equipped with a giant screen of 3.7” having a high resolution of 480x800. Even I didn’t need my power glass to use it from the day one. You may assume it was due to larger screen size, but the fact was, “The technology used in designing the screen”. Yes it was AMOLED (Active Matrix Organic Light-emitting Diode) technology instead of the traditional TFT. Not only the images are sharp, vibrant and lively, but also it increases the life of the battery significantly.

Exterior Finish:

Brand value has tremendous importance for an innovative and high end user like me. The design of Samsung Omnia II 1800 is very simple, elegant and straightforward. Just catch it and feel the difference, “how a simple designed phone can be so luxurious”? The phone looks trendy to show off its giant 3.7” display. This big phone that manages to pull it off well is very tall, 6mm more than its peers. But it is narrow enough to fit comfortably into the hand and skinny enough to slide into my pocket easily. The front portion of the phone has a tiny front facing Camera at the top next to the speaker. On the bottom there are “Send” and “End key”. The left side has a volume rocker and the right side is Lock, OK and Camera keys. All of the keys are having sufficient spaces. The MicroUSB port and 3.5mm headset jack are placed on the top of the device. This Micro USB port I used for charging as well as data transfer. The backside simply houses the 5 Mega pixel Camera and the speaker.

The Features:

The video capture footages are stunning, crispy and are of DVD quality. The high end connecting features such as 3G, GPS (Global Positioning System) and Wi-Fi etc are all on board with perfect synchronization with the main memory of Samsung Omnia II 1800 phone. The massive 8GB internal storage and 800Mhz processor are well supported by 256MB of RAM (Random Access Memory) and 512 ROM (Read Only Memory). So the Phone never hangs even if I interchangeably use its features and applications frequently. The Mobile Phone is supplied with a 1 GB Micro SD card, USB data cable, Stylus pen, Stereo headphones with microphone extension cord and a nice Carrying pouch. I just paid the price for the handset and received all branded and high quality accessories. The net connectivity and data transfer speeds are superb. This is a global GSM phone, which can also be used with AT&T’s 1900MHz 3G and T-Mobile USA's 2G networks. So the Samsung Omnia II 1800 was widely accepted globally.

Final Conclusion:

I am a fully satisfied customer of this Samsung Omnia II 1800 phone who got everything as desired. But the fact is, in every electronic gadgets there are always further scope of improvements. The plastic covering of this phone gets fairly washed out in direct light, so needs to be better. There is a just a single speaker. The handset being a Windows Mobile device, the 65K colors feature, absolutely has no deficiency according to my observation but some others might have different opinions. The phone is elegantly crafted and designed to go well with everyone’s mood, lifestyle, pocket and use
