Dress and look nice on a budget.

Here are some tips to stay looking nice even if you have a small budget.

Everyone wants to look nice. No one intends to look less than their best. Sometimes being low on money can have this effect however. While who a person is and what they do means much more than appearance, it is good to take care of yourself. If you need some new (new for you, anyway!) clothes, you have a few options.

One option is to visit a thrift store, such as Goodwill to purchase some clothing items. If you have never given thrift shops a chance, you will be surprised at the quality of clothes you find there. Some look like they have never been worn.

Another place you can get clothes is on freecycle. Every county has a freecycle list. To find the one in your county go to freecycle.com and search for you area. Click on the link. That link will take you to your local freecycle group on yahoogroups. Join. Post an email stating what you need and what size you wear.

To get an affordable haircut, find the nearest beauty school near you. Many community colleges have them. On certain days at certain times, the beauty students cut, color, and perm hair for a very reduced fee.

For skincare ,make-up, and shampoo keep your eye open for sales. Small drug stores such as Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid often have good sales on these items. The sale, coupled with a coupon from the Sunday paper, can really save you a lot of money. If you get a really good deal and you can afford it, stock up a bit.

By following these tips, no one will guess your budget is small and you won't feel deprived.
