Aboriginal languages of Australia

Indigenous languages are dying out all over the world, pushed out by the lingua francas and major national languages. Linguists predict that at least half of the 6000 languages spoken worldwide today will disappear within the next century.

Most people think that there is only one Aboriginal language in Australia - this is a misconception! Another misconception is that all Aboriginals speak English, or that English is their native tongue. Aboriginal Australia is one of the most linguistically and culturally diverse regions on earth. It is estimated that between 300 and 600 distinct tribal groups existed in Australia before the white settlement in the late 18th century, and they spoke between 200 and 300 distinct languages.

Today, only about 100 Aboriginal languages are still in every day use in Australia, with some spoken by only a few elders and most facing extinction. As few as 20 of recorded Aboriginal languages, such as Yolngu, Arrernte and Warlpiri are in a healthy condition, whereby they are spoken by large communities, including children and young people learning them as their first language.

Most but not all Aboriginal people speak English as their first or second language. In a country of 22 million people, only about 55,000 people can speak an indigenous language. After English, Kriol is the most widely spoken language - from the Kimberley to northwest Queensland. Across southern Australia, most people speak English and Aboriginal English (a unique variety of English spoken by Aboriginal people).

It is widely accepted that almost all Australian indigenous languages belong to one family and are descended from one original language, spoken thousands of years ago around the central north coast of Australia.
Over time, Aboriginal nomadic tribes moved over the whole continent, with different dialects developing into separate, mutually unintelligible languages.

The first words from an Aboriginal language, including kangaroo, were recorded by Captain James Cook in 1770. Subsequent words, such as boomerang and dingo, were adopted into English after Governor Phillip brought the first group of convicts to Sydney in 1788.

Another little known fact is that there are Aboriginal interpreters who assist their clients in a variety of settings, including medical and legal.

Is The Human Inborn To Work

Why does the human want to work ? Who can tell me the answer ?

Recently rested, a lot of interest in me, in addition to the envy of real freedom, the greater is the fear, or doubt. Why not work? This issue 5 years ago I have answered . Early retirement, which is the pursuit of a person and to choose.

Why does the human want to work?

I answer this question boils down to three points: first, the need for survival, for most people, work is a means of survival, in the absence of social security of China, lost his job, that means lost the ability to survive, so China "eat right", "How is it going?" has become a greeting, and then further 10 years, China's social security is mature, it is an increase of wealth, greetings may be changed to "leave it?" " When to retire? ", for the moment, most people must work to three meals a day. Mr. Lu said, "Eat to live, not live to eat".And people have to work to eat. Second, work to social needs. Is a social animal, who must have a certain amount of social activities, otherwise you will lose the fun of life, so to meet the survival needs of the people, the social activities is an important objective of their work. Third, the work is pursued in order to achieve personal, human desire is always infinite, and always wanted more, or at a higher position, so many people to meet the needs of survival, but also to meet the social needs, but still in hard work, why should the work of Bill Gates? The answer here.

Talks about this, many people thought that the human inborn was to work.In fact, I though that: people naturally prefer to pursue their way of life.

People should choose what kind of work? Daughter has just learned, hangs frequently in oral a few words: Which way should we go? We can ask ourselves this.

World's 10 Most Colorful Mushrooms

Here's a list of the most colorful fungi.

Mushrooms, molds and yeast are fungi and majority of the most colorful and unique fungi belong to mushroom. There are two kinds of mushroom - the non-poisonous and the poisonous. There are numerous edible mushrooms inasmuch as there are numerous toxic species.

I supposed that upon reading the title of this article you'll ask this; is there such a thing? Well, fortunately there are. On this particular article you will see the most colorful fungi.

1. Dog Stinkhorn (Mutinus caninus)

This brightly colored mushroom, commonly known as the Dog Stinkhorn, is often found growing in small groups on wood debris, or in leaf litter, during summer and autumn in Europe and eastern North America. It is not generally considered edible, although there are reports of the immature eggs being consumed.

2. Anemone Stinkhorn (Aseroe rubra)

This unique and colorful species of mushroom is commonly known as the anemone stinkhorn and sea anemone fungus. They look lovely but they smell bad. It is a common and widespread in Australia. Found in gardens on mulch and in grassy areas, it resembles a red star-shaped structure covered in brownish slime on a white stalk. It attracts flies, which spread its spores.

3. Fly Agaric (Amanita muscaria)

Aren't they lovely? These lovely-looking mushrooms are commonly known as Fly Agaric or Fly Amanita. I think this is the most popular species of mushroom because of its wonderful color. Although she's a real beauty, this mushroom is poisonous.

4. False Morels (Gyromitra esculenta)

This weird-looking but beautifully colored species of mushroom resembles a human brain. False Morels as it is popularly known, is widely distributed across Europe and North America. It normally grows in sandy soils under coniferous trees, in spring and early summer. Although potentially fatal if eaten raw, it is a popular delicacy in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, and the upper Great lakes region of North America.

5. Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor)

Trametes versicolor, formerly known as Coriolus versicolor, is a common polypore mushroom. Versicolor means "of several colors" and it is true that this mushroom is found in a wide variety of different colors. T. versicolor is commonly called the "Turkey Tail" in the United States because of its resemblance to the tail of the turkey bird.

6. Blewit

Such color of mushroom is very rare. Although the color of these mushrooms is unique they are edible. There are two closely-related species of Blewit, the wood blewit (Clitocybe nuda) and the field blewit (Clitocybe saeva).

7. Dotted Stem Bolete (Boletus erythropus)

It's really unusual to see a colorful fungus and if you see one you will surely think twice if it's real or not. This particular species of mushroom is found in Northern Europe and North America. It is sometimes commonly known as The Dotted Stem Bolete. It is edible when cooked but it can cause gastric upset when raw and be confused with the poisonous Boletus satanas, which has a paler cap.

8. The Sickener (Russula emetica)

The Sickener as it's commonly known is one of the species with a predominantly red-colored cap and white gills and stalk. It gets its common name from its inedibility, as it causes vomiting and diarrhea when consumed. It has an extremely peppery taste, which is said to disappear on cooking, along with its toxicity, though eating it is not recommended.

9. Larch Bolete (Suillus grevillei)

This glossy colored mushroom is known by 3 common names; Larch Bolete, Greville's Bolete and Bovine Bolete. This is a mushroom with a tight, brilliant and dry cap where the hymenium easily separates from the flesh of the cap, with a central stalk that is quite slender. The species has a ring or a tight-fitting annular zone. This mushroom is suitable for consumption.

10. Golden Chanterelle (Cantharellus cibarius)

Yellow, specifically golden yellow has always been one of my favorite colors. It somehow brightens my day no matter how cloudy the sky is. One thing more, the color yellow always reminds me of wealth, seeing lots of yellow things around feels like I'm surrounded by gold bars. Chantarelle or Golden chanterelle is probably the best known species of the genus Cantharellus. It has a fruity smell reminiscent of apricots and a mildly peppery taste, and is considered an excellent food mushroom.

Well, these are the 10 most colorful mushrooms in the world. I hope you enjoyed it.

What Good is the CIA?

CIA FAIL. This CIA failed to protect us from the underpants bomber.

Once again it appears that people on the ground in a government agency were doing their job and forwarding credible threats to their “superiors”, and I use the term “superiors”  very, very, very loosely.   But some jackass middle manager in the CIA decided that he’d have more job security if he let people be blown up.  If this is standard operating procedure for the CIA then what the hell good are they?   I understand that having a foreign born, Marxist Muslim president means you have to take care not offend, but if  a man’s father says he’s a suicide bomber, let’s go with that.  Make an exception to what you apparently think is your real job–taking  care you don’t offend anyone.

New rule:  If there is any doubt about a foreigner who wishes to come to the US, put him on the no fly list.  If someone at the ticket counter needs to be convinced to let the foreigner on–request denied.

The CIA knew about it before it happened…

Did intelligence lapses aid and abet a terrorist?

What did they know and when did they know it?

Is Chairman Obama and his CIA giving aid and comfort to our enemies?  And where is that coordinating intelligence agency that is supposed to mediate between the lesser intelligence agencies?  Besides sacrificing the lives of untold numbers of trees for the cause of bigger government what has this new intelligence agency done?  Outside of making inexplicably ignorant statements to the press, what are getting for our money out of Homeland Security?
